We are proud to celebrate Sofia (right, front row), Aidan (right, back row), and Oliver (left, back row) for successfully completing their five-week STRIDE internship with the Biomechanics and Biomaterials Design Laboratory (BBDL) at UCR. During the program, they conducted hands-on research on critical topics including heart valve mechanics, mesh independence studies, and histological analysis. Their hard work and dedication culminated in presentations at the 2025 CIRM SPARK Conference, where they showcased their findings alongside student researchers from across California. This internship not only enhanced their technical expertise but also strengthened their scientific communication skills, preparing them for future endeavors in biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine. We congratulate them on their achievements and look forward to their continued growth in the field!
